The GRINCH visited us on Christmas Eve!

One of the most expensive items in the store was stolen on Christmas Eve at 12:15 noon.
The $1595.00 French sculpture from the art nouveau period of the ‘20’s. This signed
artwork is 21” high, 14” wide and 11” deep, front to back. Weight is approx. 45 lbs. The patina is as old bronze with soft rose color blending to a soft green.

This figure of a sitting maiden is signed “de Raudery” under the right bare foot, at the left side of the base The clock movement is French with a serial number of 88617 on the back of the case and the pendulum.. A beautiful porcelain face has lost part of the text, but this Spelter art is rare.

Two thieves planned and executed a bold daytime theft by distracting the clerk and blocking her view of the front door. While looking at jewelry in the display case, the second accomplice covered and lifted the clock off the table it sat on and walked right out the front door.

The distracter was young, 25 to 29 years old and well dressed while the accomplice was
55 to 60, with six days white stubble beard, scruffy clothes and white hair with no hat. He weighed 140 to 160 lbs and was 5’6”. The younger of the two was slender and taller at 140 to160 lbs.

McMinnville Police Dept. Officer Peters has opened case #06-6369 to pursue the robbery.
