Winfield Blue Bamboo Covered Casserole

Winfield of California made several dinnerware lines beginning in 1937. Blue Bamboo was one of these patterns. It is a soft blue color with the bamboo in white. It was a popular pattern and remained in production for several years.

The covered casserole has an 8” diameter and is 3” deep. It has two loop handles and the white bamboo design is on each side. The lid has a finial that might represent two pieces of cut bamboo, white on the ends. The bottom mark reads True Porcelain, Winfield, Hand Crafted China, Made in U.S.A.

The casserole without the lid has a 6 ¼” diameter at the top and is 3 ¾” deep. It has loop handles and the bamboo design is on both sides. This piece is unmarked.

There are no chips or cracks on either piece.
