Josef Penguin Shaker

A “Josef Original”

The Josef Company has sold many kinds of ceramic items under its Josef Originals label. This 2-piece penguin is a shaker. The overall height is 5 ¾”. The penguin has a blue body and wings, along with a blue bow tie. His feet and bill are salmon colored and his front is white with little blue flowers. A strip of cork over ceramic forms the stopper. The seven shaker holes are on the back of the head. The original label “Josef Originals” is on the bottom. The painting of the feet has dripped on to the bottom and there is a tiny flake missing at the curve where this drip occurs and another small flake at the side of the foot.
