Royal Hickman (Haeger Designer) Pottery Swan Figural Vase

Royal Hickman was a designer for the Heisey Glass Company, the Haeger Pottery Company and other companies. He also operated his own Royal Hickman Pottery for a while in the 1940s. The swan planter is from that time. The overall length is about 8” and the height about 5 ½”. The glaze is a sort of golden/tan with a maroon and then light tan glaze over that. Part of it seems to be air brushed and part of it drip glazed. It’s a beautiful and interesting glaze. In relief on the bottom are Royal Hickman USA 472. There are no chips or cracks.
