Morton Potteries Old Woman In Shoe Wall Hanging String Holder

This Old Woman in a Shoe is attributed to Morton Potteries, which made several other pieces in the line including a bank and a night light. I’m not sure if this piece is intended as a simple wall hanging or perhaps a string holder. It has a glazed half circle at the bottom where something could pass through.

The piece is glazed yellow with brown trim and cold painted red on the roof. There is one tiny flake of red gone and slight wear in one spot on the edge. There is also a tiny chip on the door frame. The inside is glazed yellow and has a hole for hanging. The overall dimensions are 6 ¼” x 6 ¼”.
