Hyalyn Pottery Ashtray, Hickory, Smoking

Made circa 1970

The Hyalyn Pottery was located in Hickory, N.C., beginning in 1947. They made a variety of porcelain items, including smoking accessories. This ashtray is mold #850. It appears to be air brushed avocado with brown. I think the indentation on the “handle” is a pipe rest. It’s about the size of a pipe bowl. The overall length is 8”. The oval part of the bowl is 7”. It has the original cork base with Hyalyn Porcelain, USA, 850 stamped on it. It is in excellent condition.
