ROOKWOOD ART POTTERY OWL BOOKENDS, PAIRIn High Gloss Dark Green Glaze
These Rookwood bookends are mold #2655 and were made in 1951. They are finished in a dark green glaze with pale green areas that accent the claws, facial features, the wings in back, and the edges of the book on which the owl is sitting. The overall height is just under 6". The base is 3 3/4" x 2 7/8". The Rookwood logo, the date LI, and the mold number are impressed on the base of each.
