Niloak (Arkansas) Blue Swan

This Niloak blue swan planter has an open back so it can be used to hold flowers or a plant. It is 4 3/4" long and 3 3/4"tall. The all-over glaze is a matte finish in the company's characteristic deep blue. Niloak is in low relief on the bottom. Niloak was an Arkansas pottery, operating from 1910-1947. This mark appears to be the one used in low relief from 1939 to 1947. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. There is a brownish-tan fleck in the glaze on the inside. It does not distract from the appearance of the piece.
