Goss Style Crested Ware Bowl.

This small piece of
Crested Ware was made by Florentine China in England. It is a shallow bowl
with a 3 3/8” diameter. The center design has a yellowish band that says
Courage Humanity Commerce at the top and South Shields at the bottom. The
center shield shape pictures six men in a rowboat and the words “Always
Ready” on a white background. There is some wear on the gold rim of the
bowl. The back stamp says Florentine China, Made in England in a circle
logo with wings. It was made in the early 1900s, when Crested Ware was an
especially popular souvenir. There are no chips or cracks.
