Missouri Mule Kansas City
Souvenir Mug
From 1950
This Missouri mule is actually a mug. The mule balances on
the top of its head when it’s in the drinking position. It is five inches
high. The mug opening is 3 ¾” x 3”. Missouri Mule is in relief on the
bottom . To this has been added, in gold ink, Kansas City Centennial on
one side and 1850-1950 on the other. The mug is turquoise in color. The
back of the mule has three evenly spaced stilt marks – it must have rested
on the back in the kiln. There are no chips or cracks.
