Dudson Brothers Wedgwood-Style Staffordshire Jug

From Hanley, England

This is a beautiful piece of English pottery in pristine condition. The impressed mark on the inside of the rim on the bottom of the piece dates it to 1898-1903.

The jug is 7 ½” tall. The inside glaze, the handle and the base are a tan glaze. A deep blue glaze covers the exterior with three Grecian figures in white in relief. The figures are separated by flared white columns. A design in white relief circles the top of the jug. The impressed mark on the bottom reads Dudson Brothers Hanley, England. It has no cracks, chips or scratches but does appear to have a meaningless flake on the bottom rim.
