Rookwood handled candleholders, pair

Dated 1926

These Rookwood candleholders are shape #2753. They were designed by Rookwood's premier designer, Kataro Shirayamadani, and are dated 1926. The overall height is 3 ½" and the diameter at the top is 4 ¼". The rounded shape has 12 indentations like shallow petals. The base diameter is 3". The interior at the top is a turquoise/blue color in a semi-high glaze. There is some crazing. The exterior, including the handles, is a soft white matte.

This is a great pair of candleholders to go with the the console bowl listed next.
