Arkansas 3-Piece Camark Honey Pot & Matching SpoonWith The Original Label
Here’s a great piece for a collector of honey pots or of Camark Pottery, made in Camden, Arkansas. The color is a sky blue. The piece has raised bumps, probably to represent the cells of a beehive. The lid has a slot for the spoon. The spoon has the same blue glaze, except for 2 places on the underside where it rested during the firing process. (The original label, blue on silver foil in the outline of the state of Arkansas, is still attached. It was used from the 1940s until the pottery closed in 1982.) The piece without the lid is 3” tall, with the lid add an additional 1 ¼”. The diameter of the base is 2 ¾”. The spoon is 5 ½” long. There is a grey line on the backside of the lid handle. It appears to be in the glaze.
